Christine Cares, Inc. is a grassroots
non profit organization with a volunteer staff working in the United States and Tanzania.
In Tanznaia we
spend our time with the people witnessing poverty first hand. We work side by side with our local coordinates
in Tanzania to insure that the neediest are our recipients. In 2009 we finished
the building of St. Judas Thaddeus Catholic Church.
We are an international organziation registered in Tanzania and the USA.
We are currently working with women in Tanzania who turn paper
into beautiful necklaces, rosary beads and earrings. Another group of women make beautiful hand beaded leather
sandals and women who turn grass into woven baskets.
In Sri Lanka we work with tailors who make handbags, table runners, eyeglass cases. We market their
crafts and send profits go back to them. This effort helps provide some income to eighteen families. We look
forward to continuing our work in Tanzania and increasing the number of women served.
We are advocates of education and are raising funds to build a primary school three classrooms at a time. The School of St. Nicholas will
begin construction in the fall of 2010. Our capital campaign is underway!
Get involved today and help us fight poverty through education!
