We did it!

The day had finally come to ship the interior of St. Judas Thaddeus church in Ilboru! We had many volunteers (who I am sure were a little stiff the next day) come help us! The 40 foot container was full. We did not get everything in that we had hoped, but anticipate another shipment after we know this one arrived safely. It was a beautiful sunny autumn day.

Many thanks to all who came to lend a hand.

The container will set sail on October 16th and arrived in Dar Es Salem on December 23rd. The container reached its final destination on February 3, 2009!

Ilboru Village News!

St. Judas Thaddeus celebrated the opening mass on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2009!

It was a wonderful day of love, faith and hope. We worked hard side by side with the locals to have it completed on time. The three choirs became one and lead us in song.

A great big thank you to Fr. Honoratus for his dedication and oversight of the construction of this beautiful church.

It is very different from any other church in Tanzania! It is a place where my heart will be for a long time.

To the parishoners of St. Judas Thaddeus - I hope you enjoy your new house of God.
